"In many ways this album is in my mind, a sequel to Coruscate. That album was about freely relishing in the limitless joy of creativity, Rekindle has me fighting my way back to that place. Rekindling the flame.

I felt inspired by concerts and how conquerable everything feels when I leave one. There’s been a lot of times this year where I’ve felt defeated and unresolved, whether it’s my job situation, connecting with family and friends, communicating with myself and my creative side. A lot of my time in 2022 has been spent questioning and in some cases regretting, I think putting this record together has allowed me to reach back into my excited naivety and childlike innocence with confidence. This is the music of me reconnecting with nature, people, myself, music.. rediscovering my agency and enjoying it.

I want to say a huge thanks to every listener. I’ve seen people express so much honest excitement and enthusiasm towards what I make and it’ll blow my mind every time I feel it. I want to express thanks to my friends and family too for the endless warmth and kindness they give me, the people surrounding me are as good as it gets in my eyes, I’m extremely grateful.

I leave my job in 3 days, I’ve accidentally released this album at probably the busiest time of the year so far for me but also the most exciting time. This is a job I’m very happy to leave, but I’m extremely proud that I said yes to it. The people I’ve met there are unbelievable and I feel incredibly lucky to know them. This record wouldn’t exist without the feelings this job has given me, good and bad. I’ve channeled all of this into these songs and anyone that knows me knows music is everything to me. I’m so excited for it to be out tomorrow. Every time I see the tracklist, I can’t believe it. I’m very proud of Rekindle and I want you all to know that, and I really believe I couldn’t have done this without those I have in my life. This post is a love letter to the music and yourselves."
